🌾 Keerthi Organics — www.keerthi-organics.com
Chemical-free, traditionally grown organic rice, turmeric, and ginger from Ottapalam, Kerala. Cultivated by Indian Air Force veteran Ashok using Jeevamritham, Panchagavyam, and Vriksha Ayurveda — the same natural methods his grandmother, the late Keerthi Veettil Janaki Amma, used since the 1940s.
The Story
It began with Janaki Amma. In the 1940s, at 13, she married and moved to Vadakkanthara, but never left her family's paddy fields in Lakkidi. She managed them herself, traveling back and forth — no tractors, no power tillers, no synthetic fertilizers. Just manual labour, monsoon cycles, and patience. Her rice fed generations.
Decades later, her grandson Ashok returned home after 20 years in the Indian Air Force. The soil had been stripped by years of chemical fertilisers. The first five seasons were pure loss. He didn't give up. He turned back to Janaki Amma's methods — prepared Jeevamritham and Panchagavyam the way the elders taught — and slowly, life returned to the mud.
Today, Keerthi Organics carries her name and her methods forward — one harvest at a time.
